First things first, Happy Thanksgiving!

I love this holiday for several reasons (read: food), but the biggest reason is because it’s a holiday dedicated to expressing gratitude. And let me tell you, there is so much power behind practicing gratitude.

Gratitude has garnered a lot of research attention and there are a lot of researchers from several different fields who are studying its effects to see what it is about gratitude that makes it so effective. No matter what angle gratitude is researched from, the overwhelming response to every study has been this: gratitude works.

Which brings me to the why behind this episode. if you want to be happier in your life, you need to cultivate gratitude through daily acts that do not grow stale. There are so many benefits of gratitude, but I focus on five main areas and then give you specific ideas to get you started on cultivating (or strengthening) your gratitude practice.

Gratitude makes you nicer, more trusting, more social, more appreciative and healthier. And as a result, it helps you make more friends, deepen your existing relationships and improve your marriage.

I know! How could something so simple bring so much goodness into your life? Well join me in today’s podcast where I provide you several solutions on how to start your gratitude practice today. (Now go write a thank you note to someone you love, and then eat some leftovers).
